  • Born Mark Daniel Ronson Sept. 4, 1975, in London, England.
     
  • As a producer, Ronson received recognition for his production of Amy Winehouse's 2006 studio album, Back To Black, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200. As a solo artist, he scored his first No. 1 single in the United States with 2014's "Uptown Funk," featuring Bruno Mars, which was featured on his fourth studio album, Uptown Special.
     
  • He won his first three career GRAMMY Awards for 2007, including Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical.
     
  • Ronson's stepfather is Foreigner founder Mick Jones.
     
  • In 2015 Ronson served as the official ambassador for GRAMMY Amplifier, The Recording Academy's innovative, online music initiative aimed at mentoring emerging artists.
     
  • A group of children from the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity joined Ronson in 2016 for a special studio session to record a version of "Uptown Funk." The charity is dedicated to brightening the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses.
